Because the Governor is more focused on padding her résumé with radical, unrealistic climate goals than on helping families make ends meet. Clean energy is a worthy goal, but not when it comes at the expense of affordability and economic survival.
That’s why on Day One I will direct the state Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs to conduct a full audit of why our energy prices are so high and identify concrete solutions. That includes cutting unnecessary climate mandates, working directly with energy providers, and supporting infrastructure projects—like pipelines—that lower costs and create jobs. I will expand natural gas infrastructure to deliver more affordable energy to Massachusetts—unlike Maura Healey, who proudly blocked pipeline projects. And I will oppose so-called ‘clean’ energy projects that are environmentally destructive, including the offshore wind developments currently underway.
We will diversify our energy portfolio to include natural gas, next generation nuclear, solar, and wind—when it makes sense. I will always prioritize results over ideology.
