Rather than working with our cities and towns, she’s chosen to steamroll them—forcing her own vision of housing onto communities that want a seat at the table. By weaponizing the MBTA Communities Act to impose top-down mandates, Healey has shown complete disregard for local control. That’s not leadership—it’s government overreach, and it’s completely unacceptable. When I am Governor, we will end the era of state bullying and top-down mandates on our cities and towns. No more threats. No more lawsuits. No more mandates. Instead, we’ll give municipalities the tools they need to build housing and grow on their terms—not Beacon Hill’s. We will cut the burdensome regulations that make it extremely difficult for developers of all sizes to build housing—and we’ll make it easier, faster, and more cost-effective to build right here in Massachusetts.
"This campaign is about restoring prosperity, opportunity, and common sense to Massachusetts. It’s time to chart a better course—one that reflects the values, needs, and voices of the people. Let’s build a state we can afford and a future we can believe in, with a government that works for all of us."
