Kennealy Responds to Maura Healey’s ‘Too Little, Too Late’ Approach to Reducing Energy Costs

Waltham, MA – Today, Republican candidate for Governor Mike Kennealy issued the following response to Maura Healey’s “requested” review of utility bills to lower charges.

“Maura Healey’s administration has been plagued by an affordability crisis made worse by her blocking two natural gas pipelines, a failing Mass Save program and a mountain of so-called ‘green’ mandates and fees. Her solution has been a series of lackluster responses to problems she created that can only be characterized as ‘too little, too late.’ Today’s announcement is no different,” said Kennealy. “It has taken Maura Healey years of sky-high utility bills and ratepayer unrest for her to request a review of utility bill charges – this is simply unacceptable. As Governor, I won’t wait for re-election to request regulators make Massachusetts more affordable – I’ll demand it on Day One.”
