Waltham, MA – Today, Plymouth County Commissioner Sandra Wright announced her endorsement of Mike Kennealy for Governor and Anne Manning Martin for Lieutenant Governor. This endorsement builds on strong support for Mike Kennealy from the Bridgewater Republican Town Committee, its Chair Nick Palmieri, and State Representative candidate John Norris, further demonstrating growing momentum for Kennealy across Plymouth County.
In announcing her support, Commissioner Wright said, “We need to elect a governor and lieutenant governor with the experience and ability to defeat Maura Healey and govern effectively on day one. That team is Mike Kennealy and Anne Manning Martin. Plymouth County needs them in the Corner Office now more than ever.”
Nick Palmieri, Chair of the Bridgewater Republican Town Committee also commented, “Bridgewater has been on the front lines in realizing the negative effects of the state’s heavy-handed MBTA Communities law. Many in the community have witnessed first hand that it’s the local residents – not Beacon Hill bureaucrats – that should decide what’s best for our towns. I’ve seen firsthand how this mandate threatens local control, and I know Mike Kennealy is the only candidate in this race with the experience and the backbone to stop its enforcement.”
Anne Manning Martin expressed her gratitude while signaling strong support across Plymouth County, stating, “Thank you. It’s an honor to have the backing of some of the strongest Republican leaders in Plymouth County. Commissioner Wright and Chairman Palmieri represent the very best of conservative leadership in this Commonwealth and I’m proud to have them in this fight with us.”
Kennealy welcomed the endorsements, stating, “I am honored to earn the support of Commissioner Wright and RTC Chair Nick Palmieri. Sandy and Nick are tireless fighters who know their community and understand the needs of Plymouth County better. I look forward to working alongside them throughout this campaign and beyond to deliver results for the people of Plymouth County and the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”
