The affordability crisis is the direct result of high taxes and burdensome regulations that drive up the cost of doing business and raise prices for consumers.
As Governor, on Day One, I will direct my administration to identify and eliminate burdensome regulations that hinder business growth, and to roll back the excessive taxes punishing working families and employers alike. I will seek to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse like I did when I helped turn around the failing Lawrence public schools – cutting nearly 40% of the central office bureaucracy. Massachusetts must be a place where residents can flourish, not one where they’re held back by government overreach.
